1964 Galaxie 500 XL 2 door hardtop. Was originally a 390 and 4 speed manual. Now has a 460/C6 transplanted into it. The engine has a Pete Jackson gear drive, a small performance cam, and a Weiand Stealth intake. The exhaust dumps into ported cast manifolds and 3 inch duals with 2 chamber flowmasters. I also purchased a fiberglass teardop hood, fiberglass front fenders, and fiberglass front and rear bumpers. Sold in the fall of 2006. |

I bought this car in Feb of '97 to replace my '69 Montego that got broad-sided. It had been sitting since '83 w/120K but after an oil change and a carb rebuild it fired right up. I drove it all through college and it now has 170K + so it's due for a rebuild. It'll get hi-perf treatment when it does, tri-power, the whole bit. |

I bought this while looking for a 9 in for my sons Cougar. It was a 390 car with auto and bench seat. I bought a burnt out interior fire 64 4 door and swapped the 352 4v engine out of it. Had 2 coils cut out of the front springs. I installed new ones removing one coil. Back has 3 inch drop and I am going to raise it 2 inches. I picked up factory buckets and rear seat out of a xl car and plan to recover them. I picked up a 460 off Ebay with all machine work done for 75 dollars!. Plan to built it for later installation. Plan on driving it this June with a budget of 3500. |

Car more or less found me and begged for rescue from the crusher. It was essentially disassembled and a frame-off restoration completed with overhaul of Cruise-O-Matic transmission, new interior, fuel tank, fuel line, brake lines, water pump, etc, etc. The car required significant sheet metal work to solve rust problems and painted dark toreador red. Trim was either refinished or replaced and bumpers rechromed. The original 352 was bored and stroked into a 390 with a mild cam and a few other modifications. |
