Fairmont
The demise of the Maverick spawned a more compact model, the Fairmont. The Fairmont shared the Fox chassis and was designed with an emphasis on efficiency and fuel economy. Easy serviceability and an optional 302 makes it a favorite for those who desire power in an modest package today. |

Currently rebuilding the car from the ground up. Motor is a 400 (rare FMX block w/small bellhousing). I have a Tremec TKO II and a built 8.8 out of a 1996 Cobra. Motor made 426hp@5000 rpm during the dyno break-in. I have not made a full dyno pull yet but I'll have rwhp figures when I get it on the road. |

My Father's car. Converted to Leaf spring rear end...uses a 9" (8" before the 9"), 353" SBF RPM heads, footbraked powerglide 5300 converter. Ron's Flying toilet alcohol injector and a Victor Jr intake manifold. 28x9 slicks on the rear. Car hooks on gravel and drives itself, even with the cobbled leaf-spring set-up on the rear end! VERY consistent! No nitrous, blowers, turbos, or nitro....all motor. |
