Ranchero
The Ranchero was produced from 1957 through 1979. This unique vehicle was the first car with a truck bed. In the 23 years of total production, there were a total of 508,355 units produced. Chevrolet proceeded to try and duplicate their own version of the Ranchero in 1959, but the Ranchero was the original "car truck". |

I've had this truck for over 25 yearas and not long ago I pulled the 351M out due to the "Death Knock" and decided to build it. I happen to read the article "Down & Dirty" by John Newman and it set the gears turning. Now with all the pieces in place for the motor I am on to the trans and the differential. I need some help with the differential as it is a bit too wide for what I want and it needs to have a Locker due to all the launch it has now. If you have any suggestions shoot them my way. Keep On Truckin! |
