Taurus
Every so often, an automobile company produces a car that wins them great respect. When Ford introduced the Taurus in 1985, it hit one out of the park. The front-wheel-drive, midsize Taurus was available in either a four-door sedan or station wagon body style. The car weighed around 3,200 pounds and had a 106-inch wheelbase. Unlike its Japanese competition, the Taurus sedan could seat six since it was available with a bench seat, as opposed to the strictly bucket arrangements in the Accord and Camry.
