1965-1966 Mustang
To produce an extremely popular car, with virtually no competition. That is exactly what Ford did when it began marketing the Mustang in April 1964. So, with little effort a new car was concocted using the Falcon chassis. A legend was born and the Mustang scored a world record of 418,000 sales by the end its first year of existence. |

This is the parts car that I picked up in Alabama using e-bay. It's never been wrecked in the back so it'll make a great donor car for my 65 'stang restoration...take a look at my blue '65. This car had a 302/auto in it when I bought it, but it started life as a 6 cyl/auto car. I rebuilt the motor and put it in my truck. Now, I'm gonna cut it in half and use the back half to fix my '65. Wish me luck! |

This was a 6 cyl 3 spd car. Before disassembly it had a 289 with an automatic. It's got SSB front disks and a 9 inch from a 76 Granada with Disks out back. Suspension upgrades include a negative wedge kit with progressive rate springs and a 1-inch sway bar in the front, and 5-leaf reverse eye springs and a 3/4-inch sway bar in the back. Sure, it doesn't look like much now...in fact, it's not even worth fixing, but my Dad gave it to me when I was 12 and my kids are gonna help me fix it up. |

My 65 mustang project. Was a straight six 200 but I decided to do a five lug and engine swap from a donor 73 Ford Maverick. Its been a ton of fun tearing into it and learning as much as I can. I striped the car down to the uni-body and re-build and restored from there up. I stripped the car and epoxy primed/sealed. Stripped and painted the interior replacing anything that needed to be replaced. Just waiting for more funds to finish another rebuilt 302 to drop in. And finish the body. More details to come. |
